A Hidden Dimension of Caribbean Reptile Ecology: First Documentation on Nesting Behavior in a Pholidoscelis Species

ABSTRACT Our first assessment of Pholidoscelis erythrocephalus nesting behavior indicates this species creates complex communal nesting sites. Considering the novelty of our nesting data for a Pholidoscelis species, this new knowledge aids our understanding of the reproductive ecology, biodemographics, and conservation of this widely distributed genus.
