KEBIJAKAN KEPALA MADRASAH DALAM MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI MADRASAH DI MAN 2 PAMEKASAN

This study aims to describe the madrasa principal's policies for enhancing madrasa achievement and their implementation at MAN 2 Pamekasan. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed. Data were gathered through interviews, observations, and document analysis, involving the principal, teachers, and students as sources. Data analysis involved collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing with verification. The findings indicate that the principal's policies for boosting achievement focus on developing student potential through planned and sustainable guidance programs. These policies are implemented through talent mapping and incubation, the establishment of an Olympiad Ecosystem Team (OSN/KSM) and a MYRES Center, pre-competition bootcamps, the allocation of specific funds, the provision of rewards or achievement scholarships, and support for supervising teachers. Implementation is supported by the commitment of supervising teachers, the availability of facilities (such as laboratories and libraries), support from the Madrasa Committee and the principal, and student motivation. Challenges encountered include scheduling conflicts, student fatigue, varying levels of academic stamina, and fluctuating competition difficulty. These obstacles are addressed through coordination, schedule adjustments, flexible coaching methods, structured scheduling dispensations, the provision of enrichment modules, and guidance and counseling services.
