Design and Implementation of a Web and Mobile Online Shopping Portal for a Supermarket: A Case Study of San Hussain Supermarket
This report describes an online shopping portal built for San Hussain Supermarket. It has a web interface and an Android app that both connect to one server and one database. Customers create an account, browse published items and place an order for delivery. The administrator adds and publishes items and receives orders so that deliveries can be arranged. The system was built with PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS and Java, and tested at unit, integration, system and validation levels. This is a design and implementation case study from an undergraduate project. It reports no measured performance figures or survey statistics, and it reviews the security weaknesses of the prototype together with the fixes a real deployment would need.
