ANALYSIS OF FACTORS HINDERING LOGISTICS LEARNING DURING CLASSES: A THEORETICAL-EMPIRICAL STUDY

This study aimed to analyze the factors hindering learning among students in the Higher Education Technology Program in Logistics during classes, addressing three guiding questions: which factors impede learning, how these factors interfere with the process, and why they produce such effects. This qualitative, exploratory, descriptive study involved students in a class in the Logistics Technology Program at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Amazonas (IFAM), Manaus Industrial District Campus. Data were collected through an online semi-structured instrument and analyzed using a similarity technique, followed by grouping responses into analytical categories. The results revealed five dimensions of factors interfering with learning: pedagogical, technological, individual, behavioral/social, and structural-organizational. Pedagogical factors stood out, mainly related to a lack of practical application, an excess of theoretical classes, poor teaching methods, a lack of focus/conciseness, and issues with teaching approaches and instructor performance. The analysis showed that these factors primarily interfere with attention, concentration, focus, comprehension, interest, content retention, and the integration of theory and practice. Students cited attention deficits, comprehension difficulties, monotony, excessive complexity, lack of focus, absence of practical contextualization, insufficient resources, and low engagement. The study concludes that learning difficulties are a multidimensional, process-oriented phenomenon in which various factors can combine to compromise the conditions necessary for learning. The results suggest, therefore, that understanding learning in Logistics requires an integrated approach covering pedagogical, individual, technological, behavioral, social, and structural dimensions.
