Your Privacy Still Matters!

Your Privacy Still Matters! — UC-01: Application-Level Network Control on Windows This illustrated technical article explores how Windows users can restrict selected applications' network communications without disconnecting their computers from Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Using a doors-and-windows analogy, it explains the distinction between monitoring potentially unwanted activity and actively controlling application network access. The article demonstrates the BLOCK ALL and UNBLOCK APP functions of WhoIsConnected Premium, using Microsoft Word as a practical example. It also discusses how applications may communicate with multiple remote network groups and how additional destinations can be progressively restricted through periodic monitoring. The objective is to introduce application-level network control as a practical complement to conventional security software, while explaining its benefits and limitations.
