Renewable-Energy Sending-End Ring Network Coordinated Reactive Power Control of Multiple SVGs and Renewable Energy Accommodation Optimization

To address reactive power counteraction, inefficient utilization of reactive power resources, and restricted renewable energy accommodation caused by the independent regulation of three SVGs in a six-node renewable-energy sending-end ring network in a region of Xinjiang, this paper proposes a multi-SVG coordinated control method oriented toward renewable energy accommodation. By optimizing the participation status and reactive power allocation of the SVGs, coordinated operation among multiple devices is achieved. Simulation results show that the renewable energy accommodation rate reaches 97.04% under coordinated control, representing an increase of 4.04 percentage points over independent multi-SVG droop control. Meanwhile, the total absolute reactive power output and reactive power variation of the SVGs are reduced by 58.84% and 62.24%, respectively, while the line loading rates remain within the safe operating range. The results demonstrate that the proposed method can effectively mitigate reactive power counteraction and unnecessary reactive power provision, thereby improving reactive power resource utilization and renewable energy accommodation.
