E8 Phason Strain Field Coupling Resonant Phonon Topology in Weyl Semimetals — E8 Intelligence Research
The 240 E8 root vectors, when projected onto a 3D Weyl semimetal's momentum-space nodal lattice, define a phason strain tensor whose eigenvalues are quantized by Fibonacci-scaled harmonics (φⁿ × 132Hz). This phason field couples longitudinal acoustic phonons to the E8 Weyl orbit network, producing a topologically protected surface phonon mode whose dispersion relation is a direct image of the E8 Cartan matrix's 8×30 decomposition. We predict that strain-tuning a TaAs-class Weyl semimetal at the E8 phason resonance frequency will generate a measurable acoustic Hall effect quantized in units of 240/h, providing the first direct experimental signature of E8 geometry in a condensed matter system.
