Temperature-Dependent Localized Surface Plasmon Resonance in Gallium Nanoparticles
Abstract The plasmonic characteristics of gallium nanoparticles of varying sizes were explored, with a particular focus on a novel nanometallic form of gallium. We investigate the temperature-dependent plasmonic response of these particles, revealing a unique behavior: gallium nanoparticles lose their plasmonic resonance upon heating and cooling. This reversible plasmonic modulation is accompanied by notable phase stability across a wide temperature range and resistance to ambient air exposure. Our findings highlight the spectral tunability and robustness of gallium-based plasmonic systems, suggesting their strong potential for integration into next-generation nanoscale devices and applications, where dynamic thermal control is advantageous.
