Evaluation of the Safety and Efficacy of Rabectra® against Fleas and Ticks in Dogs Housed in Shelter Conditions
The safety and efficacy of Rabectra® (fluralaner) were evaluated in 370 shelter dogs. In groups 1 and 2 (n=10, in each group), General clinical and biochemical blood parameters were monitored; in group 3 (n=350), preventive efficacy was assessed. A single oral administration provided 100% protection against fleas and ticks for 84 days. In dogs with flea infestation, 100% therapeutic efficacy was observed by day 3. No adverse events or clinically significant deviations in parameters monitored were detected.
