PROFIL PERILAKU PENGGUNAAN MASKER PENGUNJUNG PUSKESMAS PADEMAWU DI ERA PANDEMI COVID-19

This study aimed to analyze factors associated with mask-wearing behavior among visitors of Pademawu Health Center during the COVID-19 pandemic. An analytical observational cross-sectional design was used. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews among patients visiting GOPC, MCH, and emergency units from 3–9 August 2020 using total sampling. Of 169 respondents, 145 met inclusion and exclusion criteria. Independent variables included age, knowledge, education, income, and attitude; the dependent variable was mask-wearing compliance. Chi-square and odds ratio analyses were performed. Results showed 94 respondents (65%) were non-compliant and 51 (35%) compliant. Compliance was significantly associated with knowledge (p=0.022; OR=2.43), education (p=0.001), income (p=0.021; OR=5.3), and attitude (p<0.001; OR=4.75). Age was not associated (p=0.449). Discussion indicates that knowledge, attitude, education, and income are determinants of COVID-19 preventive behavior. This study provides important insights for local public health interventions. The novelty lies in profiling mask compliance among health-center visitors in rural Madura. Implications suggest strengthening health education and health-protocol promotion, especially for groups with low knowledge, negative attitudes, and lower income. Keywords: COVID-19, mask, compliance, knowledge, attitude.
