Kajian Kritik Sastra Feminisme: Citra Perempuan dalam Novel “Si Anak Pemberani” Karya Tere Liye

Women are often portrayed as central characters in literary works, particularly novels, due to their diverse and distinct characteristics compared to men. Female personalities are reflected through the depictions presented in the narrative. This article focuses on exploring female representation, specifically in the novel Si Anak Pemberani by Tere Liye. The research employed a qualitative descriptive research method. The novel Si Anak Pemberani serves as the primary data source, utilizing sentence or paragraph excerpts that illustrate female representation within the text. Data collection techniques include reading and note-taking techniques. Furthermore, data analysis is conducted in three stages: data reduction, data analysis, and conclusion drawing. Following the analysis, the researcher identified nine pieces of data depicting female representation in the novel. These representations are categorized into three themes: female relationships with others, female relationships with God, and female relationships with themselves. The novel's protagonist, Eliana, is portrayed as a devout woman, always willing to help others, courageous, a role model, intelligent, and successful. Tere Liye presents Eliana as the main character to demonstrate that women are not confined to stereotypes as weak individuals or solely bound to domestic roles.
