Evaluating The Effectiveness Of The Methodology For Developing The Digital Competence Of Future Engineer-Pedagogues Based On Pedagogical Experimentation And Mathematical-Statistical Analysis

The article evaluates the effectiveness of a methodology for developing the digital competence of prospective engineering teachers in the textile industry on the basis of a three-stage pedagogical experiment conducted at three universities. Development was measured on reproductive, productive and creative levels. No differences between experimental and control groups were found at the baseline measurements (χ² = 0.01 and 0.29), whereas the advantage of the experimental groups was replicated three times at the final measurements (χ² = 25.34, 29.75, 39.82; critical value 5.99). The share of the reproductive level in the experimental group fell from 58–60% to about 11%, while in the control group it remained almost unchanged. The author additionally calculated effect sizes (Cramér’s V = 0.44–0.47) and difference-in-change estimates and reports the limitations of the design
