Prerequisites for the cultivation of two crops in the Lower Volga region

The aim of the study was to assess the possibility of obtaining yields of two crops in one growing season in the Lower Volga region. The following main tasks were solved: assessment of the degree of climate warming in the specified territories; identification of the main agroclimatic characteristics of heat supply during the growing season in the designated territories; identification of the main agroclimatic characteristics of heat supply during the growing season in the designated areas; selection of agricultural crops for obtaining two harvests within the growing season based on heat supply characteristics; assessment of the moisture content of the areas by precipitation
