Combination Therapy with Mogamulizumab and Pegylated Liposomal Doxorubicin in Tumoral Advanced-Stage Mycosis Fungoides/Sézary Syndrome: A Two-Case Report

Two patients with advanced-stage mycosis fungoides/Sézary syndrome achieved deep blood responses with mogamulizumab, including peripheral blood MRD negativity, but developed progressive tumoral skin disease. The addition of pegylated liposomal doxorubicin resulted in rapid tumour regression while maintaining blood disease control. These cases highlight a compartment-directed therapeutic strategy and suggest complementary activity of both agents in advanced cutaneous T-cell lymphoma.

Abstract

Two patients with advanced-stage mycosis fungoides/Sézary syndrome achieved deep blood responses with mogamulizumab, including peripheral blood MRD negativity, but developed progressive tumoral skin disease. The addition of pegylated liposomal doxorubicin resulted in rapid tumour regression while maintaining blood disease control. These cases highlight a compartment-directed therapeutic strategy and suggest complementary activity of both agents in advanced cutaneous T-cell lymphoma.
