Methodological Considerations in Interpreting Dairy‐Free Diet Efficacy in Adult Eosinophilic Oesophagitis
To the Editor, We read with interest the prospective multicenter study by Marinoni et al. examining a 12-week dairy-free diet (DFD) in adults with eosinophilic oesophagitis (EoE) [1].The study adds useful prospective data to a field in which adult evidence remains limited. However, several aspects of the design and analysis make the reported 53.6% histological remission rate difficult to interpret as an estimate of first-line DFD efficacy.
