BEAMPP Method – Bio-affiliative Eco-Art Medical Psychology Protocol
BEAMPP (Bio-Affiliative Eco-Art Medical Psychology Protocol) is the first structured clinical protocol for treating eco-anxiety and urban trauma through neuroaesthetic art-based intervention. It updates psychoanalysis via the ecological unconscious and targets limbic activation (amygdala, hippocampus, hypothalamus, cingulate) using Hundertwasser's eco-works as non-verbal safety code: irregular curves, bio-affiliative palette, organic order. The protocol follows an inverted U-curve (low-high-low) of limbic activation across three stages: Grounding Intro (downshift amygdala hyperactivity, ventral vagal safety), Creative Response (peak tolerance, media as nervous system intervention), and Integration/Aesthetic Closure (regulated landing, safe memory consolidation). Signature tools: Window Breathing Mandala (peripheral vision + trace-based breathing pacer: inhale 4-5s outer→center, exhale 5-6s center→outer) and media-specific dosing (pencil=prefrontal control, oil=limbic layering, watercolor=brainstem surrender). Designed for art therapists, psychologists, arts-in-health practitioners. Low-cost, applicable globally. IP = Independent research project. Theoretical protocol. Educational research framework. Prepilot clinical training.
