Digital transformation of clinical trials with remote patient monitoring solutions
Remote patient monitoring (RPM) is becoming increasingly feasible to implement in clinical trials. A framework is presented for developing RPM digital solutions incorporating the needs and perspectives of patients and healthcare professionals, and regulatory requirements/guidance. This framework is illustrated with recent examples of RPM deployments in the context of skin toxicities and stomatitis. Strategies to overcome challenges in the adoption of RPM solutions in clinical trials are discussed.
