State Estimation Analysis for Impulsive Systems Under Perturbations With a Battery Management Case Study
ABSTRACT This work addresses the problem of state estimation for a class of nonlinear systems subject to disturbances and impulsive effects. The study is motivated by the challenge of accurately estimating the state of a battery management system (BMS) under small, impulse‐like disturbances. We develop synthesis conditions for a state detector that is robust to these perturbations. The proposed method leverages numerical techniques based on the spectral properties of the nominal system to ensure stability and performance. The effectiveness of the approach is validated through numerical simulations, demonstrating its applicability to the studied system class.
