Pemberdayaan Masjid Sebagai Pusat Pendidikan Dakwah dan Kegiatan Sosial Masyarakat Dimasjid Nur Islamiyah Bilekante Desa Semoyang
Mosques have a strategic role in Muslim communities not only as places of worship but also as centers of education, preaching, social development, and community empowerment. However, the utilization of mosques at the village level often remains concentrated on ritual activities, while their educational and social potential has not been fully optimized. This study aims to analyze the empowerment of Nur Islamiyah Mosque in Bilekante, Semoyang Village, as a center for education, preaching, and community social activities. This study employed a qualitative descriptive approach. The research subjects consisted of mosque administrators, religious leaders, community leaders, youth, and surrounding worshippers. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, while data analysis involved data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that mosque empowerment can be developed through Qur'anic education, religious study groups, youth development, regular preaching activities, Islamic commemorations, mutual cooperation, social assistance, and community-based religious activities. The mosque also has potential to strengthen community participation and social solidarity. Nevertheless, several challenges remain, particularly in organizational management, youth participation, program continuity, and utilization of digital media. The study concludes that Nur Islamiyah Mosque has significant potential to function as an integrated center for religious education, preaching, and social empowerment when managed participatively, systematically, and sustainably.
