Placebo Is Real Therapy: An Etymological, Phenomenological and Psychological Analysis of the Concept of Treatment
This manuscript proposes a reconceptualization of the placebo effect as a directional spectrum of expectation encompassing both improvement and non-improvement. It presents: (1) a phenomenological analysis of the 2013 Turkish counterfeit cancer medication case (95 patients), showing that counterfeit drugs kill not directly but through the absence of treatment; (2) the master-of-the-market rule analysis, showing that fentanyl dilution is a deliberate market strategy; (3) the MOD-S3 measurement system for reproducible measurement of both poles of the placebo response. Turkish and English versions. Part of the KOKEN open-science project (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.23339382).
