Increased risk of stroke after a new cancer diagnosis—Where are the knowledge gaps currently?

A retrospective, population‐based study from Israel using linked cancer and stroke registries quantified the excess risk in cancer patients by cancer site, stage, and age, expresses in both absolute and relative measures. This study further advances our understanding of the epidemiologic associations between cancer and stroke, but many unanswered questions remain in this field.
