Nubian Archives Registry (v1.0): A Finding Aid for Nubian Historical, Linguistic, and Displacement Archives

This preprint presents the Nubian Archives Registry (NAR) v1.0 — a finding aid for Nubian historical, linguistic, and displacement archives. The registry contains 19 entries across 11 countries, with a three-level verification system (V confirmed, P partly confirmed, U unverified) and a three-tier action plan (link and cite, contact the holder, identify and confirm). The paper reports the first descriptive profile of the registry's contents, documents institutional concentration, a language gap, and chronological clustering around the 1960 UNESCO campaign. It is released as a preprint and is intended as a first, correctable layer on which holders, scholars, and the Nubian community can build. This paper accompanies the registry data (JSON/CSV) published separately on Zenodo.
