White Matter Perivascular Space Burden in Children With Autism Spectrum Disorder and Typically Developing Controls: An Automated Quantitative MRI Study
Overview of the workflow used for analyzing 3D-T1w and 3D-T2w DICOM files. Initially, the images underwent preprocessing via the HCP preprocessing pipeline. Then, FreeSurfer WM parcellation was employed to generate masks of WM regions of interest. Additionally, preprocessed T1w and T2w images were used to generate Enhanced Perivascular Contrast (EPC) images, which were then provided as input to the WPSS algorithm for PVS segmentation. The image shown in the WPSS PVS segmentation box is a 3D representation of the whole-brain WPSS segmentation output. By Girardi et al. (1227–1240)
