Edukasi Gizi dan Pola Asuh sebagai Upaya Menurunkan Risiko Stunting Pada Balita di Desa Wakan

Stunting in toddlers has a significant impact on a child's current and future health. Factors contributing to stunting include the mother's occupation, parental height, family income, family size, parenting practices, and exclusive breastfeeding. The *Posyandu* (Integrated Health Post) in RT 01 RW 12, Wakan Village, records a higher incidence of stunting compared to other RWs in the village. The stunting-related issues faced by the partner community stem from several factors, such as educational backgrounds limited to high school graduation resulting in low nutritional knowledge and the fact that the majority of residents work as homemakers or casual daily laborers. This community service program was implemented to address these issues through educational outreach on stunting prevention. The goal was to ensure that the community particularly mothers with toddlers understands the importance of preventing stunting by monitoring growth and development monthly at the *Posyandu*. The methods employed included direct education on family parenting practices, empowering village and RW-level PKK (Family Welfare Empowerment) cadres, nutritional demonstrations, and monitoring and evaluation. Conducted in RW 12, Wakan Village (Jerowaru District, East Lombok Regency) under the theme "Family Support Education to Prevent Stunting in Toddlers," this program successfully fostered an understanding of the importance of parenting practices in monitoring toddler growth and development. This program was implemented to address issues faced by the partner community through counseling on stunting prevention in children under five. The aim was to ensure that the community particularly mothers with young children understands the importance of preventing stunting by monitoring growth and development through monthly visits to the *Posyandu* (Integrated Health Post). The community service activity, held in RW 12, Wakan Village (Jerowaru District, East Lombok Regency) under the theme "Family Parenting Support Education to Prevent Stunting in Children Under Five," successfully fostered an understanding of the crucial role parenting plays in monitoring a child's growth and development to prevent stunting.
