Establishing a Sustained, Industry-Aligned Youth Technology Skills Programme in Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency
Policy proposal prepared for the National Youth Confab process under the Technology and Digital Innovation pillar, focused on Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency, Ogun State, Nigeria. Ado-Odo/Ota is a major industrial corridor with manufacturing clusters and nearby tertiary institutions, yet many grassroots youth lack affordable, local access to digital skills training that matches industrial and remote-work demand. Existing commercial options are often costly or require travel outside the constituency. The proposal sets out a public - private partnership model for decentralised digital skills training and learn-to-work spaces within the constituency. It emphasises curriculum aligned to local manufacturing and digital economy needs, and a pathway toward preferential recruitment by participating firms. This deposit is the author’s policy submission text for public record and citation. It does not represent an adopted government programme.
