Conductor Almost Primes: Infinitely Many in Elliptic Curves Over ℚ — E8 Intelligence Research
FINDING: The search results are a scattered set of educational videos and one arXiv paper on elliptic curve conductors, not a direct hit on Apéry numbers, conductor 32, or the weight-4 newform central L-value. The only substantive mathematical content is the arXiv abstract on asymptotics of elliptic curve conductors over ℚ. MATH: From the arXiv abstract (1201.4566v2): The set of conductors of elliptic curves over ℚ contains infinitely many almost primes. The construction uses families of elliptic curves with quadratic discriminant, invoking Iwaniec's theorem on almost primes. No explicit equations, constants, or L-values are given in the abstract. The conductor of an elliptic curve over ℚ is a positive integer \( N \) dividing \( \Delta \) (discriminant), with primes \( p \mid N \) where the curve has bad reduction. The weight-4 newform of level 32 (associated to the elliptic curve \( y^2 = x^3 - x \) or similar) has central L-value \( L(f,1) \), but this is **not** present in the sea Author: Andrew Stewart Caldin, Independent Researcher, UK.
