The Automated Phone (SVNEPAI): An Architectural Model for Sovereign Virtual-Native Embodied Personal AI
The Automated Phone is a proposed smartphone architecture centered on a personalized virtual version of its owner, visibly embodied through a face and expressive features. Designated Sovereign Virtual-Native Embodied Personal AI (SVNEPAI), the model places this personal virtual version at the center of the intended smartphone experience. The architecture distinguishes the personal virtual version, its visual embodiment, and the underlying intelligent agent. These elements are designed to work together to support multimodal interaction through voice, vision, and text, user-directed knowledge retrieval, and authorized device capabilities. The proposed model explores operating-system-level integration, user-controlled memory, digital sovereignty, privacy, accessibility, and bounded autonomy. It considers how user-provided documents and reference materials could support personalized assistance while preserving the user's authority over data, permissions, and autonomous actions. This technical note presents the conceptual architecture, governing principles, potential application domains, research questions, and a proposed evaluation plan. SVNEPAI is a proposed architectural model, not a completed or experimentally validated product. Its feasibility, security, usability, accessibility, and practical value require implementation and empirical evaluation.
