Shotgun metagenomic sequencing of gut microbiota in control and time-restricted feeding mice

Time-restricted feeding (TRF) mice were allowed free access to food only between 10:00 and 18:00 each day for 2 weeks, whereas control (CTRL) mice had ad libitum access to food throughout the day. Fecal samples were collected from CTRL and TRF mice after the intervention and subjected to shotgun metagenomic sequencing to characterize the taxonomic and functional profiles of the gut microbiota.
