LIBER Position on the Future of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC)
LIBER’s “Position on the Future of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC)”, calls for research libraries to be included as implementation partners and in EOSC decision-making. The paper also calls for a sustainable continuation of EOSC beyond 2027 through a distinct Work Programme-based European Partnership for EOSC under the 10th EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (FP10). LIBER advocates for the recognition of research libraries as part of EOSC’s supporting infrastructure as well as future EOSC-related funding calls to directly address research libraries, enabling them to play an active role in connecting researchers with EOSC services. The paper was prepared in the framework of the EU funded EOSC United project.
