A bibliographic survey of Lisbeth Sommerbeck’s publications, 1974–2026
A bibliographic survey of the academic and professional publications of the Danish client-centered and pre-therapy therapist and psychologist Lisbeth Sommerbeck was conducted following her death in 2025 to honour her contributions. Both a systematic search of major literature databases and a supplementary manual search using other sources were carried out. During the period covered by the survey, two new journal papers were published after her death, which were included. The results comprise 58 references in four languages spanning 1974 to 2026. Of these, 53 were original publications, and 5 were translations or republications. The results are presented as a bibliography in chronological order and have also been submitted to the PCE Literature Database (https://www.pce-literature.org), an online bibliographical database of person-centered and experiential (PCE) therapy publications that includes references from other bibliographical surveys, PCE journals, and other ongoing contributions to the field. At the outset of the paper, a brief overview of Lisbeth Sommerbeck’s professional contributions is provided, particularly within the person-centered and experiential community.
