Propaguliferous Species of Anomobryum (Bryaceae: Bryophyta) in India, Including Anomobryum yasudae as a New Record for India
ABSTRACT A taxonomic study of the propaguliferous species of the genus Anomobryum Schimp. in India was carried out. The updated nomenclatural status and synonymy are presented here, and Anomobryum yasudae Broth. is recorded here as a new distributional record for India. A key to the Indian species of Anomobryum, along with descriptions and photo‐plates of propaguliferous species, has been provided. The bryophytes can quickly colonize disturbed or unstable ecosystems with the help of specialized propagules; hence, a crucial taxonomic trait for diagnosis.
