Nonlinear ferroelectric wires under periodic live loads: waves with period matching the forcing

Abstract We consider the dynamics of nonlinear elastic ferroelectric wires subjected to periodic external forcing. For general free energies, we determine conditions under which wave-type solutions, including the polarization field, have a period matching the one of periodic external actions.
