Mental Well-Being and Behavioral Adjustment between Undergraduate and Postgraduate Male and Female Students in Post Pandemic Period

Mental Well-Being and Behavioral Adjustment between Undergraduate and Postgraduate Male and Female Students in Post Pandemic Period Kusum Kumari* Dr. Krishnanand** The present study was conducted on undergraduate male (N=80), female (N=80) and postgraduate male (N=80) and female (N=80) students of M.U., Bodh Gaya and Patna respectively to examine post pandemic impact on their mental well-being and behavoiural adjustment. It was hypothesized that undergraduate male and female students as well as postgraduate male and female students will differ significantly from one another in terms of mental well-being and behavioural adjustment. Mental well-being and behavioural adjustment were measured using mental well-being scale by Warwick Edinburgh and Bell Adjustment Inventory by Mohsin and Shamshad respectively. Besides these, a PDS was employed to seek their personal information. The obtained data were analysed using t-test. The hypotheses were retained. It was found that (i) male students excelled over female students respondents and (ii) post-graduate students excelled over undergraduate students both in terms of mental well-being and behavioural adjustment. Thus, it was concluded that mental well-being and behavioural adjustment both are function of sex-difference and undergraduate postgraduate level of education in post pandemic period. * Research Scholar, Department of Psychology, Magadh University, Bodh Gaya **Department of Psychology, S.S.
