The genome sequence of the Heath Milkwort, Polygala serpyllifolia Hose (Fabales: Polygalaceae)
We present a genome assembly of Polygala serpyllifolia (Heath Milkwort; Streptophyta; Magnoliopsida; Fabales; Polygalaceae). The assembly consists of two haplotypes with total lengths of 341.68 megabases and 338.53 megabases. Most of the haplotype 1 assembly (97.91%) was scaffolded into 16 chromosomal pseudomolecules. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial sequences have lengths of 168.63, 89.23 and 66.86 kilobases and the plastid genome assembly has a length of 164.58 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
