Towards (H)BIM Integration in Semantic Kompakkt
Presentation on extending Semantic Kompakkt, the semantic extension of the open-source web-based 3D viewer Kompakkt, with building data (HBIM). The talk evaluates Free and Open Source libraries for web-based IFC processing, comparing ifc-lite, xeokit, and web-ifc. Based on this evaluation, it proposes a modular import pipeline that leads from IFC ingestion through validation and semantic mapping to IIIF-conformant publication in Semantic Kompakkt, with web-ifc identified as the most suitable foundation.
