All‐Inside Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction Using Semitendinosus Autograft Augmented With Biocomposite Scaffold: A Technical Note
Abstract Anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction using the all‐inside technique offers bone preservation and minimal invasiveness. However, single hamstring tendon autografts with a diameter below 8 mm carry increased failure risk. BioBrace (ConMed), a biocomposite scaffold of bioresorbable poly(L‐lactide) microfilaments and type I collagen, provides mechanical reinforcement and biological support for graft healing. The purpose of writing this article is to describe an all‐inside anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction using quadrupled semitendinosus autograft augmented with BioBrace biocomposite scaffold.
