The genome sequence of Musk Stork’s-bill, Erodium moschatum (L. L’Her., 1789) (Geraniales: Geraniaceae)
We present a genome assembly of Erodium moschatum (Musk Stork’s-bill; Streptophyta; Magnoliopsida; Geraniales; Geraniaceae). The assembly consists of two haplotypes with total lengths of 760.61 megabases and 753.14 megabases. Most of the haplotype 1 assembly (98.73%) was scaffolded into 10 chromosomal pseudomolecules. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial sequences have lengths of 71.6, 42.04, 28.57, 55.48 and 26.56 kilobases and the plastid genome assembly has a length of 118.99 kilobases. Gene annotation of this assembly by Ensembl identified 32,084 protein-coding genes. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
