METHODS FOR ATTRACTING EXTERNAL INVESTMENT RESOURCES TO THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR: RISK PREMIUMS AND GUARANTEE INSTRUMENTS
This article examines methods for attracting external investment resources to the agricultural sector, with particular emphasis on foreign direct investment and credit lines provided by international financial institutions. The dynamics of foreign capital inflows into Uzbekistan's agri-food value chain during 2018–2025, together with their structure by source of financing, are analysed. A risk-adjusted required rate of return model for foreign investors is developed, and the effects of crop insurance coverage and longterm contractual arrangements on the risk premium are quantitatively assessed. The factors determining the sector's investment attractiveness are evaluated using an expert assessment method. Furthermore, the comparative advantages of guarantee and insurance instruments over interest-rate subsidies in terms of budgetary efficiency are substantiated.
