Saying 'Hi'. What goes around comes around
This proposal presents, under the rather grand name of “hypotheses,” observations drawn from a brief experiment I conducted about 12 years ago and my experiences with neighbors. Before uploading it to Zenodo, I did a quick AI-assisted search of scholarship on “Saying Hi to Strangers” in Korea. It seems that research on the “really real strangers” I encountered is still scarce. So, as I find more of my old records, I plan to upload them under the same title, with different version numbers. The versions currently planned are as follows:Version 01 – The Hypotheses – The first thing I'm curious aboutVersion 02 – The Effects of Repeated GreetingsVersion 03 – Cross-National Differences and Prior ContactVersion 04 – A Conversation with a Trail Maintenance WorkerVersion 05 onward – To Be Determined
