Synthesis of E -Thiovinylphosphonates via Visible-Light Mediated One-Step C–S and C–P Bond Formation Reaction
Abstract A three-component reaction of thiols, alkynes, and trialkylphosphites under visible-light irradiation has been investigated. This reaction affords α-substituted (E)-2-thiovinylphosphonates in yields up to 90% starting from simple, readily available reagents. High regio- and stereoselectivity was observed in most of the cases. The reaction features a rare example of one-step formation of C(sp2)–S and C(sp2)–P bonds.
