Front Range Installation Tribal Working Meetings Summary Report: September 15–18, 2025
Two ethnographic studies were conducted for the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA), Schriever Space Force Base (SFB), Buckley SFB, Peterson SFB, Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station (SFS), and F.E. Warren Air Force Base (AFB) (collectively, the Front Range installations): Parametrix1 completed the first in 2017 for USAFA, and Texas A&M Natural Resources Institute and Stell Environmental Enterprises2 (Stell) completed the second in 2022 for the remaining Front Range installations. The Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) tasked Argonne National Laboratory (Argonne) with assisting in planning and facilitating a working group meeting with the Front Range Department of Airforce (DAF) installations (listed below) to discuss the results of these two studies. This summary report covers the work group meeting held at Buckley SFB, Peterson SFB, Schriever SFB, and Cheyenne Mountain SFS. F.E. Warren AFB elected to opt out of this working meeting event because, at the time, they were actively engaged in Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA)-related consultations and needed to prioritize their time and resources towards that effort.
