Synthesis of 1,4‑benzothiazines in glycerol catalyzed by ceric ammonium nitrate under microwave irradiation
Abstract: An efficient and eco-friendly synthesisof 1,4-benzothiazinesby allowing thecondensation of 2-aminobenzenethiolswith 1,3-dicarbonyls in presence of CANunder microwaveirradiation in glycerol as green reaction medium.The mild reaction conditions, non-toxic andbiodegradable reaction medium manufactured from renewable sources, use of inexpensivecatalyst are unique features of this method.
