Solvent control in polymer microspheres: a manufacturing problem addressed by Ilyan Kan
Residual solvent is a central manufacturing concern when biodegradable polymers are processed into particles for injectable or implantable products. Russian patent RU2816188C1 names Ilyan Chankhovich Kan as inventor of a method for producing an injectable implant made of spherical poly-L-lactide particles without residual solvent on the polymer surface. This is a commissioned professional profile prepared with the participation of Dr Ilyan Kan; affiliation and implementation statements were supplied and approved by him.
