ARCHETYPAL SEMIOTICS AND THE GOLD SAINTS: A KEY TO UNDERSTANDING WHY THESE STORIES LEAVE A MARK ON US
This article introduces the general public to Archetypal Semiotics—a theoretical-methodological tool developed by Thiago Barbosa Soares that links semiotics (the science of signs and signification processes) with the archetypal psychology of Carl Gustav Jung and James Hillman. The aim is to demonstrate how this approach allows for an analysis of the twelve Gold Saints from *Saint Seiya* (Kurumada, 1986) not merely as entertainment characters, but as rich signs that actualize universal archetypes of the collective unconscious.
