The chromosomal genome sequence of Pione sp. (Clionaida: Clionaidae) and its associated microbial metagenome sequences
We present a genome assembly from a specimen of Pione sp. (Porifera; Demospongiae; Clionaida; Clionaidae). The genome sequence has a total length of 149.53 megabases. Most of the assembly (92.8%) is scaffolded into 19 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 19.5 kilobases. From the metagenome data, we recovered seven bins, of which one was a high-quality metagenome-assembled genome (MAG) affiliated with uncultured “ Candidatus Puniceispirillum” sp. (SAR116 clade, Alphaproteobacteria).
