Isolation and identification of Bacillaceae spp. from farmland soil in Bayi district
The 16S rRNA genes of these 36 putative Bacillus strains were successfully amplified and sequenced. Sequence similarity analysis of the 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed that these strains belonged to eight genera and 26 species: Bacillus, Peribacillus, Mesobacillus, Priestia, Solibacillus, Lysinibacillus, Ornithinibacillus, and Paenibacillus. Among them, Peribacillus was the dominant genus, accounting for 38.8% of the isolated strains, followed by Bacillus (33.3%), Lysinibacillus (11.1%), Priestia (5.6%), Mesobacillus (2.8%), Solibacillus (2.8%), Ornithinibacillus (2.8%), and Paenibacillus (2.8%).
