The Beetle and the Lizard. On What Exceeds Form
Independent research essay in philosophical hermeneutics. Version 1.0. This study develops an ontology of incompleteness through a comparative reading of Franz Kafka's The Metamorphosis and Julio Cortázar's Axolotl. The concepts of incomplete birth, incomplete identity, and incomplete death are proposed as theoretical categories describing the constitutive insufficiency of form. The work is not presented as a philological reconstruction of authorial intention, but as an ontological model developed through literary figures. This preprint constitutes the first public version of the essay. Suggested citation before DOI assignment Eremencu, Teofana Lavinia. 2026. The Beetle and the Lizard: On What Exceeds Form.
