Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP): A Powerful Initiative for Women Empowerment in India
The Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP), launched by NITI Aayog in 2018, is a transformative initiative aimed at promoting and supporting women entrepreneurs across India. This paper explores the objectives, key pillars, and impact of WEP in fostering women empowerment through entrepreneurship. WEP operates on three core pillars: Ichha Shakti (motivating aspiring entrepreneurs), Gyaan Shakti (providing knowledge and ecosystem support), and Karma Shakti (offering hands-on support and resources). The study analyzes how WEP provides a unified platform for mentorship, funding, networking, and skill development. It also highlights success stories, challenges faced by women entrepreneurs in India, and the role of WEP in overcoming socio-economic barriers. The paper concludes that WEP is a powerful catalyst for achieving gender equality and inclusive economic growth in line with Sustainable Development Goal Women Entrepreneurship, WEP, Women Empowerment, NITI Aayog, Gender Equality, Entrepreneurship in India, Ichha Shakti, Gyaan Shakti, Karma Shakti
