Free Will and Deserved Punishment with an Influence Vector Model
I think what we call choice is a calculation based on our inner desires and standards. But if we did not choose those standards, how freely did we choose the result? Even when we change a standard ourselves, we use another standard to make that change. I see a difference that arises without any basis as chance, not choice. In this paper, I first explain this idea. Then I apply it to divine rewards and punishments that a soul is said to deserve. In the last section, I propose a model that describes decisions through positive and negative influence vectors. I also consider how changes in expectations and attention may affect these scores. I do not present human data testing these proposals. This is a preprint and has not been peer reviewed.
