THE DISTINCTIVE FEATURES OF AGATHA CHRISTIE’S LITERARY STYLE
This article examines the distinctive features of Agatha Christie’s literary style through her detective fiction. Particular attention is paid to irony, concise characterization, dialogue, repetition, contrast, narrative economy, misdirection and the interaction between language and plot. The study also considers the views of literary scholars on Christie’s individual style and its relationship with detective fiction.
